Our Journey
Our decision to start a financial literacy organization was inspired by a simple yet powerful belief: everyone, irrespective of their financial status or race, should have an equal opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage their finances.
We’ve seen firsthand how many people, especially those from low-income communities, lack essential financial understanding. These experiences brought us to realize that financial literacy should be accessible to all, regardless of their background or circumstances. By mentoring those who don’t have access to financial education, we provide communities with essential knowledge to achieve their financial goals. Our organization is dedicated to promoting widespread financial literacy across every household via our free trainings.
More recently, the Supreme Court decision to end affirmative action in college was another reason for all of us to shoulder more responsibility to make sure people from underrepresented communities are not left behind. The earlier people learn about personal finance and investments, the better chance they have of succeeding later in life.
”Financial education needs to become part of our national curriculum and scoring systems so that it’s not just the rich kids that learn about money… it’s all of us.”
